Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as the character Detective Diane Russell. Also, she is known for her role in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was born as the only girl of her mother who was a homemaker and senior executive from the United Auto Workers. Delaney spent most of her childhood in the company of four brothers. While she was a small girl, Delaney hoped to be a court-reporter. But in highschool, when she started modeling for commercials, and later after moving to New York. When she was a teenager her first appearance as an actor was on the soap opera All My Children. Delaney was in numerous of films, television movies and dramatics since then. Like her career, her personal life hasn't been easy or prosperous. The talented actress was afflicted with alcoholism throughout her life and had two marriages that failed. In 2005 she lost the custody of her son.
